Povljana Essentials: Everything Within Reach of the Villa

Welcome to Povljana. Here is everything you need to get settled and oriented — shops, beaches, restaurants, and what is worth exploring beyond the village.

Shopping

The nearest shop is right behind the house — find it on the map. It is small and perfect for picking up a few essentials, but note that it is a seasonal shop: it opens at the start of the tourist season, so it may not be open early in the year.

A larger, well-stocked supermarket is a 5-minute drive from the villa and covers everything you need for a full week's stay.

Pag town is about a 10-minute drive away and has a large supermarket as well as a local butcher shop — worth the drive if you are planning a proper barbecue or want to pick up Pag lamb.

Beaches

The nearest beach is a 5-minute walk from the villa — small, calm, and ideal for a quick swim. Just beyond it is the main town beach, which has full seasonal amenities and is the main gathering point for the village in summer.

Along the waterfront next to the town beach you will find a row of restaurants and cafes — good for a relaxed evening meal or a morning coffee by the water. You can see all beaches around Povljana on the tourist board website.

Exploring the Island

Pag Island has a lot to offer beyond the village. The local tourist boards are the best starting point:

Further Afield

The surrounding region also offers excursions to Kornati National Park, Krka National Park, and Paklenica National Park — all easily reachable from Pag and worth a dedicated day each.
